Week In Review March 4

'Strive for Excellence'

Our College motto is, 'Strive for Excellence'.

This week there have been outstanding examples of program and individuals exemplifying our motto.  This is particularly noteworthy given the mid term pressures.

Our 'Inn' team are excelling in setting up and carrying out, the objectives we set for the team.  The Inn is fast becoming the learning centre for students and staff.  Jill Fitzgerald and her team are congratulated and thanked for the service and opportunities they are making possible.

Our Aths Trials revamp, Term 1 Inter School sports and outdoor ed camps again gave students the chance to learn experientially.   Another powerful learning opportunity was provided for Year 9 who travelled to the Bendigo Stadium to hear Nadine Champion speak.  Reports back indicated this was a powerful session.

Next week we have quite a few students representing Victoria in Aths - Fraser Symons, Luke Padgam, Ben Powells, Sophia.  This follows Zane Keighran's effort at a national cricket carnival, culminating in him selected in the Under 16 Australian team.

This week we held our annual College Council meeting where the new executive were selected.  Congratulations to Gavin Salvador on being elected College Council President.  On behalf of the community I thank the 2015 Council and new councillors, for their willingness to serve.  A report will be published on the web site.
