Additional camping opportunities
Year 10 Outdoor Education offers students a range of adventure camp activities including rock climbing, rafting, high ropes course and mountain bike riding.Students work in small groups and there is an emphasis on teamwork and cooperation. Students are able to challenge themselves at their own level, promoting success and enjoyment.
Music Camp, organised by the Bendigo Music Cluster, includes Bendigo South East students and students from other secondary colleges in the area. Guest clinicians provide specialist instruction for students. A highlight is the concert at the end of the camp.
Language Camps for students studying Languages are organised throughout the year, often in combination with students from other schools in Bendigo. There are opportunities for students to travel overseas as part of a tour or as an exchange student. A variety of programs have been organised over the past years such as the Indonesian Tour and the German sister school program. Opportunities to visit China and Malaysia are also offered.
Global Citizen Tours
The G’Day USA Program operates as a 10-day cultural tour when there is enough student interest. It involves a tour to the USA in the January school holidays. Part of the tour is spent with a family and experiencing the American way of life.
New Zealand Sports Trip is an eight day tour of the North Island involving playing a number of schools in a number of sports.
World Challenge is a twenty three day biannual expedition run through South East Asia which involves a trek, charity work and sightseeing.
Language Study Programs includes an annual German exchange program a biannual Indonesian & Chinese study tour run to support our language study program.
